Flexible plastic but great features. Great for home use, maybe corporate too, not industrialThis product has a lot of great little features that you realize when you start using it. The cover on the back opens like a door from the top AND bottom, or just pulls off entirely. Snaps closed really nicely and hasn’t lost its clickyness yet (though it’s only been a month of constant rewiring). The slits on the front are actually really useful in many ways and are placed in a way that seems to line up nicely with most rack mount units’ ports. The sides are open, but not exposed from the front, which is great for running wires inside the arms of your rack mount chassis. It has 3 screw hole placements on each side, with some of them being elongated, which is very necessary if you have equipment that is really tightly packed and doesn’t follow the Universal Rack Mount measurement strictly enough. The plastic has flex, but is strong enough to hold wires; definitely not strong enough to carry the weight of units above it (for long term installment of heavy equipment) so don’t rely on this as a structure beam. However, if you plan on re-routing wires on a constant basis or own rack units for industrial use then this may not hold up over time for you. It also isn’t big enough for a lot of wires if you plan on wrapping them up inside of it. If you’re simply passing wires through it to keep them in line, buy two of these because this alone probably won’t be enough (unrelated to size), however every setup will differ. This reviews is for the use of one item; one purchase. Speaking practically however, it is NOT expensive to replace and rackmount equipment is typically expensive AND expected to be replaced at some point. So with my only gripe being that it’s made of plastic, I can’t say it’s realistic to give it a bad review. You could easily plan on replacing this in the near future. However, this item may not always be in stock; so if you need a system that won’t change then you should look elsewhere because your use case scenario is probably not fitting for this unit.

Good value and works like a champI don’t have a super complicated network rack but still got a bunch of messy wires which I have longed to make better cable management. I finally took the plunge to purchase a couple of this duct panels and boy, what a difference they’ve made. Yes, the panel is made of plastic but so what? They are awesome. They are very well made with sturdy plastic and installation was a breeze. Just feed the wires from the back and fit them into the appropriate slits, then finally feed them into the interfaces. Close the cover then everything looks clean and tidy.

Does it’s job, has nice features, good priceIt should be noted that this unit is plastic – there are some advantages to that & some people prefer this while others don’t. I will say that the fingers can flex because it’s plastic which is nice for getting thick cables in.Other than that I don’t know what else to say – the price is right, it comes with the hardware, it has 3 mounting holes on each side (as an example the startech version of this is metal but only has the center mounting holes which is an issue for some), and the size seems to be fine.It has two large pass-through holes which I believe is standard. My personal preference would be for 3 smaller ones, but this is a minor issue.I’m quite happy with the purchase. I would have bought a second one, but I wanted to see how a metal one compares so I went for the startech one this time (and paid an extra $10 or so). But most likely I’ll be buying one of these next time unless I see some major benefit from a metal unit.

It’s plastic, okay? That doesn’t mean it’s bad. It’s very light, but has a TON of management slots. It all works neatly – just don’t try to force stuff that obviously isn’t going to work. It’s decent plastic, but take care not to get too He-Man with it. Everything snaps in correctly as long as you put it in correctly. Use the slots, don’t force the slots. Screw panels line up perfectly on standard rackserver rails.

Doesn’t Protrude Like Some OthersPictured: very early stages of my A/V rack and Networking rack with the Navepoint1u cable management. There was a 1U Cable Management all Metal product that protruded a lot. Because my rack is on wheels. not wall mounted, the protrusion really stood out. While this Navepoint is plastic, it could be reversed to have a more minimal footprint.Once the 48 patch panel went “live”, the Navepoint, in the configuration as pictured, could not handle all the cables so I moved one from my server/networking rack to my A/V rack.ConsIt was double the price of the all metal cable management.Plastic. Every one I ordered had some minor blemish on it. Not a deal breaker, but very annoying if you care about aesthetics like I do.

Perfect fit for a Tripp lite Rack with default front spacingVery low profile so it worked out well in several Tripp Lite racks I’ve deployed. Great price to boot.

Solid Design, great price.Needed a couple basic cable managers for my small home rack; one in the front for console/mgmt. cabling and one in the back for everything else. These are well constructed plastic models that work perfectly for the price. Some models by this vender come with large (often undesired) brand logos printed on the product. This model however, has only a small easy to remove sticker which leaves product with a clean sleek look.
