Note: This product is not designed to work in the United States The LHG LTE6 kit also known as RBLHGR&R11e-LTE6 is a device for very remote locations that are within cellular network coverage. Mount it outdoors, on a pole, mast or any tall structure, and connect even where cell phones fail. Due to its large sized high gain antenna, LHG LTE6 kit can connect to cell towers in extreme rural locations, giving you the ability to provide last mile internet access where nothing else is available. The new LHG LTE6 kit features a CAT6 LTE modem, which enables carrier aggregation and allows the device to use multiple bands at the same time. A huge advantage when there are a lot of LTE users in the area. It provides better responsiveness in a crowded environment and higher efficiency for weaker signal situations in the countryside. We have seen Internet speed doubling in rural areas after switching to CAT6, so there is no need to wait for cable network expansions.

Requires STANDARD (2FF) SIM card, not microThe product appears to be typical MikroTik quality and design, and is in good working order. I’ll update this review with some performance notes once deployed. I am writing this review to point out an error in the documentation and marketing literature: this product is equipped with a standard size (2FF) SIM card slot, not a micro (3FF) slot. I was confused as I watched my micro SIM slide back and forth down into an obviously-oversized SIM slot, and had to locate the appropriate bit driver to remove the main board from the housing to fish out the SIM. Placed in a 2FF adapter, the SIM card fits properly. I’m not sure how this slipped past MikroTik.UPDATE #1 — I carried this out to a rural location in southwest Virginia where it will hopefully be permanently installed soon. I currently have a MikroTik SXT LTE KIT (US) out there which is shooting a signal reasonably well to a cell site believed to be somewhere between 12 and 16 miles away. AT&T uses bands 2 and 12/17 out there, so the loss of Band 4 compared to the SXT LTE (non-LTE6 version) isn’t a big deal. Whereas the SXT LTE has a 60-degree beam width, the LHG LTE6 has a 25 degree beam width so it requires more patience with tuning, especially in my case where I really have no idea where the cell site is. Unfortunately, the LHG LTE6 I received shipped with old modem firmware which results in disconnects and lockups of the modem. I spent about 8 hours trying to find a signal where the SXT LTE had been performing reasonably well; the LHG LTE6 would find a signal and then drop it within a few minutes, after which it would refuse to search for any further signals (status “not searching”) until the device was physically power cycled — I’m not certain a simple RouterOS reboot was resolving this. I also found that the modem was not receptive to my requests to lock out certain bands; I believe it’s because these commands were being sent while the modem was in a lockup condition. I have since learned of the defects in the earlier modem firmware; upgrade to working V25 (or better) is available using command (with Internet connectivity available to the LHG LTE6) “/interface lte1 firmware-upgrade lte1 upgrade=yes”. Experimentation here at home shows the LHG LTE6 is now behaving as expected, so I’ll be carrying it back out to the site next weekend and will provide further updates.

A good antenna but with its butsI made my purchase a few months ago, studying the panorama very well to buy this antenna, since mikrotik products are not for newbies on the subject, that is why you should always inform yourself for several weeks about the product you want to buy from this brand, to avoid incompatibilities..The software of this antenna seems too open and good to me, it can be edited from the operator’s TTL and thus free up the unlimited internet.Although for its use, it is enough to place the simcard (standard size) in the slot and turn on the antenna to enjoy your mobile operator, sometimes it is necessary some extra configurations to enjoy the service in a more adequate way, another of the things that I most like. I love the antenna is the possibility of choosing a specific cell to connect to, also the choice of the band which helps a lot to improve the speed and stability of the connection.. The problem with mikrotik antennas has been that some operators limit the speed of the users depending on their use, although this can sometimes be solved with a command in the software console, with some telephone companies no matter what you do, they will limit the speed due to lack of data transfer, to solve it it is better to buy any other router that is not of this brand.

Excellent with T-Mobile!These are very much for technically minded individuals. I have been an IT / Network Engineer for over 10 years, so setup was easy. I had to get deep into the command line to change settings for TTL, etc. Overall it works great. I have a strong T-Mobile signal at home and regularly get over 60mbit down, 10mbit up. It makes a great backup to my Unlimited VDSL2 from Frontier that has issues from time to time. These are a great investment as a backup or primary connectivity mecahnism.

Good option for remote internetIf you have a reasonable (at least a couple bars) cellular signal, you can get this dish and a 4g tethering plan and connect your home network to it. I’m able to get a SINR of 17-20 without any trouble at all, and about 40 mbit synchronous speed. Several providers offer uncapped / unthrottled plans, although expect to pay a decent amount for them. If you want fast internet and you can’t get cable this is a decent option.

The truth? works! but it leaves much to be desired!I am not a mikrotik lover but I recognize that they have solutions that others do not, at least speaking of prices, this antenna leaves a lot to be desired because it works only on 3G LTE, extremely low speeds, I tested it right next to a provider tower and maximum I reached 30 megabytes, when on the phone I tried a speedtest and it gave me 400 megabytes, the difference is clear, 4G LTE and 3G LTE but I have another router that has antennas of only 5 dbi and it worked with 230 Mbps, this antenna really disappointing , I am not returning it because I plan to modify it for other purposes, do not really spend your money on this model, it is really lousy.

Unable to ContactUnable to contact company for faulty equipment. Bought first month and have many issues with signal going in and out. Tested my other unit and it works fine. Both units exactly the same in the same exact location. Customer support should warranty product.

Fairly easy to set up and good signal – very happy! My Broadband provider ceased operations and Gigaclear installation could be 6 months away, so I needed a temporary internet solution (in rural Glocestershire). I spent £300 on a Netgear Nighthawk M1 modem and puck antenna, with an O2 SIM, but I could only get 2 bars and 3-5 Mbps on a very intermittent basis(worked for a couple of hours then whole days with nothing). A neighbour recommended the Mikrotik LTE6 so I did some online research and decided to throw another £150 at the problem. I paid for fast delivery on Amazon and received the Mikrotik dish in 2 days (from Denmark). Using the same O2 Sim I’m getting a fairly steady 8-12Mbps, which is better than BT broadband out here (2Mbps), or my previous supplier Voneus (6-8Mbps). Gigaclear will give us over 50Mbps, eventually, but Mikrotik is a great solution till we can get that.It was relatively easy to set up. You need a long Ethernet cable plugged into a laptop to log into the Mikrotik and then you have to check out location and direction for the best signal. The antenna is directional so worth spending the time (using Ookla speed tester) to check the signal in every direction before finalising the perfect location/direction. Be aware that you may need to go onto the roof for best signal and you need to mount this to a pole using the clamps provided. Once I realised that I needed to input the APN code for O2 and took it outside it all worked great – more or less ‘out of the box’. I was then able to run the ethernet cable direct to my Mesh Router and I had wifi all over the house again at a steady 8-12 Mbps.So I’m really pleased with this device and would definitely recommend if you’re in an area of poor broadband/phone signal. However, if what I wrote above sounds like techno-babble to you, then maybe its not the solution for you.

Ottimo prodotto e molto professionale!Consiglio vivamente!
