NOT VERY IMPRESSEDSince hearing so much about the versatility and power of the Mikrotik RouterOS, I decide to try them after using for years TPLink products. The RouterOS NEEDS EXPERTISE and specific knowledge, also on general networking, since the router can manage the network on different layers, from physical ports to ip and MAC. It’s very powerful regarding all the settings and tweaks that can be accomplished, BUT Hard to achieve, there are some easy settings, for using it as an AP, WISP, Internet Router and Hotspot. But overall it is NOT EASY to configure. For my experience I’m not satisfied with the wireless range and performance, bought it expecting a notable difference on range and speed, but honestly NOT impressed at all.Very good as a configurable router but no as a wireless device.

Great little access pointGreat little access point. I run a pair of these in CAP mode at either end of my home along with a WAP AC mounted on my garage. This combo gives great 5GHz coverage both inside and outside the house (60 x 150 lot). I have CAPsMAN running from a RB2011 connected to a Hex PoE switch. Bandwidth is plenty good to stream ripped Blurays locally from my NAS to my quartet of Nvidia Shield TVs plus watch live TV from my HDHomerun Primes. Mikrotik is great equipment, and is relatively easy to configure for the most basic setups. The more advanced setups will require the user to have thorough knowledge of networking, or at least the ability to follow instructions in the Wiki. Either way, it’s better and far cheaper than the pretty space ship looking routers peddled by the big names.

) Over all great bang for the buckWas tasked with making a “Plug and Pray” VPN concentration with WiFi. This did the job. However it is a 10/100 piece… and once you connect to your Far VPN… using IPSec… the processor hits it’s head on the ceiling in the 20/20M range. (Side note: Mikrotik does not fully support OpenVPN.) Over all great bang for the buck.

Wrong product sent, US version vs International version in description.Product description and model are for international version. Was sent US version instead. Overall, the hAP ac lite is a great router, just wish I had the correct version sent instead of this one.

Good looking AC router/access point from MikrotikGreat little Home router/access point. You need a bit of knowledge in networking but this little guy is great. If you learn how to use Mikrotik the sky is the limit. Tons of youtube videos to help you out. This is the US version so power/ channels are locked to the legal ones allowed. Single chain 5ghz and dual chain 2ghz.

Really really good for the price.Does everything you’d want for a much better price than what you find on the shelf at Best Buy. Was easy to set up and works very well, signal strength is great. No complaints on this one- wouldn’t bother spending more on any other brand when this gets it done just fine.

Great enterprise class AP at consumer grade prices.Great device, lots of enterprise features at consumer grade prices. With this I was able to setup multiple ssids each routed through a different vlan. It has a bit of a learning curve for anybody who doesn’t work/fiddle with this tech though..
