Where’s the included data?I’m only unpacking and setting it up now, but mine only came with 1.09 GB global and NO US 8 GB. The 8GB was one of the prime reasons I chose this model.

it works.First I’ll start by saying that I’m reviewing this product after I had a bad experience with the “GlocalMe Duo Turbo” which I had to return (twice) due to product defects and the second one who just completely died on me. Well now I bought this one and so far I’ll have to give it the benefit of the doubt; I used all the free data and then it delivered. Don’t expect 5G or super fast 4G with it but it does give you the ability to search for multiple carriers to find the strongest network near you. I also tried a t-mobile SIM I happen to have available and even though it let me connect my phone, it wouldn’t let my kids tablets get internet or it wouldn’t let my Roku connect to it, so I ended up buying a package of 24Gigs for 30 days and boom! the kids tablets connected, Roku connected and my phone connected… I actually bought this thing to bring out when we go camping so this was my first try, it did work for majority of the time, having 2 tablets and a Roku device connected to it, the only negative I encountered was that this thing eats data like crazy, out of the 24G available it used 11G in only 5 days (and I mean maybe 1-2 hours/day for tablets, and about 2 hours/day for TV. So yes it does work as intended with average internet speed, but it will break the bank if you are not careful of how much you wan to keep it on. So far I’m satisfied with it, and I’ll test it again on my next trip in a couple of weeks, I’ll keep updating if anything changes regarding service quality or device issues.

My experience with it is not so good, I was expecting more.Nice packaging, App could be a lot better, such as edit the names of connected devices, keep track of each device usage. Unit is cheap feeling and slippery to hold onto. This scares me because of the large screen. One accidental drop and the screen could be useless. I tested it from my house where I have strong AT&T, Verizon and T-mobile 4G and/or 5G cell signals. Tested the upload and download speeds of the device, used two different WiFi speed test services in my area. Both results were very disappointing. Tried two different network GlocalMe device Network Optimizations. The best DL speed was 11.2 Mbps UL 2.3 Mbps. One of the speed test site used over 310 MB in 2 seconds, tried the site a second time and it used 284 MB. Showed upload speeds of 2440 Mbps. That data disappeared in the GlocalMe device, not over the network. Tested the same WiFi speed test sites with my home WiFi using my tablet, phone and laptop. This extreme data usage did not occur. Concluded the GlocalMe device used it. I setup my phone to browse using the GlocalME network and my wife’s same model of phone using my home CenturyLink WiFi. For ten minutes I browsed the same iCloud files, One drive files and download the same song. The house WiFi was almost immediate. The GlocalMe took minutes to download the same items. Interesting part was my home network recorded 6.83 MBs of data transferred. The GlocalMe device said I used 9.1 MBs. I have no idea why. I bought this to use on an extended trip to New Zealand my wife and I are taking. I could not imagine it working any better in areas with poorer cell coverage.I have only had it now for 24 hours and conducted these tests. These tests were under ideal conditions. My conclusion is that for the money and the quirks, I do not trust it and it is not worth the money.

DO NOT BUY. DOES NOT WORK WITH SIM IN EUROPE. SPENT OVER 6 HOURS WITH TECH SUPPORT. USELESSI have spent many hours and days with tech support trying to get this device to work with SIM cards in Europe. The SIM card I use works great in both phones I’ve put them in but not on this device without hours of working through problems with tech support on phone settings, entering the APN# in the device, turning off privacy settings, switching between “internet” and “apn”, etc, the list goes on. When the device runs out of batteries – don’t let it run out of batteries! – it all starts over and it’s the least intuitive device I have ever worked with. Upon my return to the US I hope I can return this device and get my $170 back – this piece of crap is useless. Tech support is super friendly but they are a complete waste of time – hours of work on this is wasted. The only thing this device is good for is the super expensive cloud packages they sell you. DO NOT BUY. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME THIS HAS BEEN. I have learned a lot about how to figure out how to hack this device in settings on both the phone and GlocalMe but it is completely unstable and unreliable. When it worked it worked well but I would suggest buying a cheap local phone with a local sim card and hotspot your devices to that rather than use this thing. I would also look into other cloud service devices as a backup if you need instant internet for work and need to purchase cloud service – you can do a lot better with other companies in that department. If you plan to use this device with the cloud service, the packages look much better for Asia than for Europe. I wish I had bought a cheaper cloud service device as a backup that has more affordable cloud service packages for Europe as well. You can also buy a device that works better with cloud service than this one. For example, a 3G package for Europe is $30, while a 12G package for 365 days in Japan and Korea is $34. A 24G package for the US is 59, so much more affordable. If you plan to travel to Europe, avoid this device. They have negotiated terrible deals with local phone companies and you can also buy a device that SIM cards actually work on for very cheap that you can cross European borders with, just not with this device. They tried to tell me that the SIM card I am using does not work across borders (I crossed from the Czhec Republic to Austria) but that is simply not true – the SIM cards I have work on my phone in both countries.
