Great seller everything worked perfectlyI bought a 10 gig network card and cable from them. Unfortunately I bought the wrong cable and couldn’t maintain a connection for more than a few seconds once a minute. Thanking it was a driver issue I contacted the seller. They asked me for the information on my equipment after getting this information they replied back in a very short time letting me know that due to the type of switch I had that I had bought the wrong cable. They gave me links to the correct parts I needed. I ordered the correct parts which ended up cheaper than the cable that they graciously refunded me for. If you need networking components go with 10Gtek and ask before you buy if your not sure what to get.

Works great – Force 10 s4810pCame in good packaging and not like some on here who shift in just anti-static bags. Shipping was fast too.

Works with Unifi Dream Machine Pro UDM-Pro but don’t use a 100 ft cable (30m is ~98ft)This review is for the ASF-10G-T (30 meter). I am using this with a Ubiquity Unifi Dream Machine Pro (UDM-Pro). Not getting full speed but I am limited by my SSD on my server. Getting 5927.12 Mbps down and 6894.6 Mbps up from my PC to Server (Picture Posted).I have read some reviews of this not working with the UDM-Pro. One review specified that the UDM-Pro was connected to an At&t router that has a 5 Gbps port and was not getting 5 Gbe speeds. This transceiver does not work at 5 Gbe speeds only 1 Gbe or 10 GBe. There are other transceivers that work at 1/2.5/5/10 speeds but are more expensive. Other reasons why some people are not getting it to show up as a 10Gbe connection is they may be using too long of a cable. I first hooked it up with a 100ft cable because I didn’t have any cables in between 25ft and 100ft, I needed 30Ft. the 25ft cable I had did work the 100ft cable did not. 30 meters is 98.4252 feet who knew, so when they say 30 meters they mean 30 meters.

Extremely strange problem but outstanding support from 10Gtek— Update 12.17.2018—I had a pleasant and very professional conversation with 10Gtek. They immediately offered me a full refund. Their engineering team managed to replicate the problem and are currently investigating. Once the problem is fixed I will update the overall rating to 5 stars.— Review —I am having a strange problem with these transceivers and I have no explanation. If you have any idea please share.I have two computers directly connected with these transceivers via 1m fiber cable.Computer “A” is Dell Precision workstation with Intel X520-DA2Computer “B” is Supermicro X9DR7 with Intel X520-DA2Every time “B” gets restarted or powered on, the audio on computer “A” stutters for 1 second and at the same time the picture freezes. It is the most noticeable when watching youtube videos. This happens a second or two after you press the power button on computer “B” – in other words it has nothing to do with the OS on computer “B”. On “B” I am running XenServer and I am passing through X520-DA2 to one of the VMs. The moment I power on this particular VM the problem appears again – the sound stutters and the picture freezes for a second on computer “A”. I did dozens of restarts and power ons/offs and got really frustrated. The moment I unplug the fiber cable from the transceiver and there is no stutter. I don’t even have to unplug the transceiver from the network card. The moment I plug the fiber cable back in and the problem returns. Although the 10Gb communication works between both computers and although I will not be restarting the server very often, the stuttering audio and frozen picture is unacceptable for me.After a month I decided to see what will happen if I use Passive Direct Attach Copper cable. Got one from the same seller (10Gtek) and same length – 1m. And to my surprise I no longer can reproduce the issue. It looks like the DAC cable solves my problem. The question is why?Unfortunately I cannot return the transceivers since one month has already passed. I will gladly update the review and the rating if someone gives me an explanation and a solution.

Works with Intel x520 10gx2 NICsI took a chance and got the Intel compatible SKU. To my surprise, I was able to use this SFP optic in with the overly-picky Intel x520 10gx2 NICs without issue. I had been previously limited to DACs, so this was a welcome result. Would recommend highly, especially for the price.

Low cost great valueSo far, these units have worked perfectly. I was a little nervous because of the price but at the time I needed these transceivers quickly and had no time to wait for ones that cost 5 times as much. I plugged them in, VMWare sees them, and my switch negotiated speed, and all is good. Great buy

Excelente productoEs muy importante colocar el módulo correspondiente en el switch: si es NETGEAR un módulo para NETGEAR; si es INTEL, un módulo para INTEL; etc.
