Great DAC cable for a switch that’s very picky aobut what gets plugged into it! Thank you!I foolishly purchased an Aruba switch, which means I get to deal with that switch being very finicky about SFP+ modules. After a bit of back-and-forth with customer service, they were able to get me exactly what I needed to make my Aruba not throw errors and talk at full speed to another switch. Thank you!

The price was right and it works.I used this cable to replace a segment of OM4 between a NetGear Nighthawk R9000 wifi router and a Cisco SG-350 switch via 2x Cisco SFP-10G-SR. I think the router was having issues powering the sfp or something because the link would go down sometimes, and I would have to reseat the sfps on both ends to get it back up. The fiber cable I had was also far too long so, I opted to skip the optical and just get this short DAC cable. It worked straight away and the switch says the link is 10G but, I did not actually do any testing to determine if I can get data over it at or close to 10G. It is only on a 1G home network, I have a couple intraswitch connections running at 2.5G but otherwise, I don’t have expectations beyond that. When I have some time, I will test the speed over this link and update here otherwise, I assume it’s working as advertised.

Works fine, but difficult to removeWorks fine connecting two USW-Aggregation switches. However, the release mechanism on one of the connectors doesn’t work. You can get it out by levering the right spot with a flat-head jewelers’ screwdriver, but this would be a bit tricky in a racked and fully populated switch. So you probably want to do a test on each cable that you might ever want to be removing …

Perfect for UniFiThis cable works perfectly connecting the SFP+ ports of my UniFi UDMPro with a UniFi 48 Port Switch. I had a different brand in there that was a bit long. I got this one in the 0.25 meter length and it was perfect length for the two 1U units stacked next to each other. The cable is much softer than the one it replaced and made for a nice smooth bending radius without putting any strain on the connectors.

Not quite plug and play with Ubiquiti, but fine once set upI recently invested in a Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro and a Ubiquiti US-16-150W switch (first generation) as part of a network upgrade. I bought this link to connect the two.I was expecting everything to work swimmingly once I plugged it in, but there was no communication between the UDM and the switch. In the Unifi dashboard, I noticed that the UDM port was showing as disconnected. A quick Google suggested that auto-negotation can fail. In the Port Profile Override section for the SFP port, I changed the Link Speed to 1Gbps FDX. Within a few seconds, the link was up and the UDM happily communicating with the switch.

It may work for others, but I’d avoid if using Ubiquiti UnifiI bought 2 of these to connect my USW-Aggregation switch to a Switch 24 and a Switch 8 PoE (150W). They seemed to work okay at first, but caused me to start having connectivity issues between other devices on either of the switches on the 1Gb RJ45 ports or the other SFP+ ports on the aggregation switch. For example I couldn’t reach login pages for Synology NAS on a 10Gb port or a Node-Red server on a 1G port.I tried setting SFP+ ports from auto-negotiation to 1Gb between the USW and the other switches, with same result of seemingly working for a while, then causing issues.First thing I’ve ever had to return for a refund in more than 18 years of buying stuff on here.
